Spaghetti with garlic and prawns: Express pasta recipe with three ingredients
I already wanted to make a plate of pasta and reviewing the ingredients available in the fridge, it occurred to me to make these original spaghetti with garlic prawns, an express recipe of pasta made with three ingredients, ideal to delight the whole family. As we did with the spaghetti with mojo picón chicken sauce, I wanted to integrate a different recipe with a pasta dish and decided to start from the prawns with garlic, one of my favorite appetizers.
It seems incredible how a dish changes simply by changing the sauce. This is especially evident in Italian pasta dishes that, starting from a simple base of cooked wheat pasta, can be converted into vegetarian, meat or fish recipes or, as in the case of today, a pasta dish with seafood.

We prepare the prawns by removing the heads and peeling the body. With all those “spoils” and a little water, we prepare a short broth that we can use to cook the pasta in it, or store it in the freezer for when we need a fish or seafood broth.
In a clay dish, brown the filleted garlic cloves and the chili pepper in abundant extra virgin olive oil. When the garlic begins to brown, add the bodies of the prawns, turn off the heat and cover with a dish so that the prawns are made in their own steam over the hot oil.
Cook the pasta in the manner indicated by the manufacturer, taking into account that it is usual to do it in a liter and a half of water with 10 g of salt and without adding oil. The good thing about spaghetti is that it is a very thin pasta that cooks very quickly, practically in the time that prawns are cooked with the fire off.
Once we have the pasta al dente, we pass it to the bowl or fountain in which we will serve it. Add our garlic prawns on the spaghetti and stir so that the pasta is well impregnated with the flavored oil – that we like so much when we take the appetizer prawns – and we distribute the prawns to present them beautifully. We bring to the table immediately.
Accompany the spaghetti with prawns with garlic
As in all pasta dishes, we can add a little grated cheese on top if we like, but in the case of spaghetti with garlic prawns, I think it is best to enjoy them without further additives, thus appreciating the flavor of seafood and the mild spicy that the oil flavored with garlic and chilli brings.
